Thank you WomenhealthMag (Seriously) for including foods that would not be considered "HEALTHY" i think this quiz was quite helpful because it included foods that are processed, refined, and ...just fattening, however because of this it allows a Realist to have a healthy life style change (diet wise) without depriving themselves of all the "delicious yet fating foods...Thanxs God Bless

Very informative quiz! I was glad to see that some of my favorite snacks only had 100 calories for the bigger serving size.

Thanks for the calorie counting quiz, I thought I was pretty good at guessing calorie intake, but this quiz gave me a real wake up call!

don't quite see how donuts or French fries qualify as "healthy" snacks?? those were easy to answer correctly.
but I was surprised that I didn't score 100%!

DUH people! This is intended to raise awareness about the calorie content of the stuff we eat, or are tempted to eat, every day. I believe the point is that if the snack is a 100 calorie portion, it's infinitely healthier than the whole burger/bagel/bag of M&Ms.

That's a very good point Mel Carson!! I hadn't even realized that.

Not sure why this quiz asks, "Which HEALTHY snack adds up to 100 calories" then goes on to feature donuts, burgers, fries and pizza.

I got a good score, mostly by instinct, since too many of these were fast food or processed snacks, which I don't eat. ;-)

Great quiz. Portion control is the key!

i think some of you are missing the point. While, a few of these snacks are not "healthy" per say, i think the main aim of WH is to get you to look at portion control. No one is going to live her life never eating a french fry or slice of pizza again. That is just simply unrealistic. What this quiz should do is help you realize portion sizes and calorie counting and make you understand that the reason a whopper has so many calories has much to do with how it's prepared. I think most women are smart enough to know peanut M&Ms are not healthy, but when a chocolate craving ensues, knowing you can have 10 and won't kill everything, is great.

Great quiz -- I liked that the quiz included both healthy and not so healthy foods. Sometimes, just a bite, or in this case - 100 kcals - can satisfy a craving and not undo an otherwise balanced & nutritious day. Everything in moderation!

Wow, McDonald's fries. It's hard to believe there can be so many calories in such a small amount of some of these foods!

I thought this was 100 calories "healthy" snacks. What exactly in a Krispy Kreme doughnut or a BK Whopper is healthy?

After reading some of these posts, I will simply say that it is not so much the idea of "healthy snack or not" I feel it is being able to recognize what 1oo cal looks like in a variety of foods. Some of us still like to sneak bites but those bites have calories.

So I was really surprised that 1/4 of a whopper is 100 calories! Like really? I would think a crumb of a whopper would be a 100 cal. But I agree with IWELLPRO and ECINAJANK... give me fruits and veggies any day!

I was pretty happy about getting 21 out of 24 on this quiz....have to say, though, that some of these snacks are nowhere near healthy. Why ruin a perfect strawberry with a Cool Whip Free...Have you ever looked at the ingredients of it?? High fructose corn syrup and trans fats...yum...NOT!

wow i did better than i thought scoring 20 out of 24! i loved how WH showed what a bad choice the donut would be over the chocolate kisses. i would much rather have the 5-6 kisses over the tiny piece of donut. THANKS!!!

Smart snacking ..
I was expecting something totally different.
Pizza, Whoppers, donuts, chips, pocket pizzas? When should any of these things be mentioned in the same sentance as "health".
We all know what "healthy snacking" really is ..

"Smart Snacker"... I'll take that. The items I missed (pretzels, peanut m&ms, kisses, etc.) are things that as a diabetic I don't eat anyways.

This was interesting. I didn't take it seriously until I'd missed three in a row. Added note: some "individual" bags of chips are considered two servings. A good reminder to begin by reading the total servings on labels information, then the remaining info.

I stopped counting calories a long time ago. I simply used the smallest plate I can find and only eat that amount I can put on the plate.

I am a snack queen. I have learned to eat healthier snacks and keep them at 100 calories and sometimes up to 150 calories. The 100 calorie snacks that hostess, keebler, etc. that are out now are great, but then again it's sugar intake. My fave are carrots or cucumbers and hummus or peanut butter on a rice cake.

I have gotten into the habit of measuring food but instead of putting it all on 1 plate, I put it on individual saucers or bowls, its a mind trick that makes you think your getting a pile of food and in reality you are getting the right amounts.

Wow!! Master Snacker!! If the food didn't taste sooo good I wouldn't have a problem sticking to the 100 calories!!
