I have extremely oily skin and the Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets are AMAZING. It's really worth the $5.80. I use proactive and they have sheets just like these, but they are not the same. I highly recommend the Clean & Clear sheets.

Have to agree with that other comment regarding Nivea Creme - that stuff is AMAZING!! Great for preventing under eye wrinkles, and for soothing the dry skin around the nose when you catch a cold.
A few good other cheap makeup picks...
Cover Girl Lash Blast Waterproof Mascara - this stuff out performs even Dior's mascara! Lasts until you take it off & holds curl too. Costs around 7 bucks at drugstores. For an excellent inexpensive face powder, try Mattify! Powder by Mattify Cosmetics. It soaks up oil for hours. Never found anything that even comes close to stopping the oil on my face until I found this. They have cheap eye shadows too, which I am now using instead of the insanely priced MAC formulas. They are loose powder minerals, so not too portable, but the good part is, once you apply them in the morning, you don’t need to reapply all day long, until late in the evening. These are really high pigment, and go for 5 bucks at the Mattify website.

I use a nivea creme for lotion. It was recommended in a magazine and it truly absorbs quickly where as eucerin does not. It goes on thick and latehrs in quick. You can still feel it in the outside of your skin but it isn't oily. I'll use Eucerin when I'm in need of some severe hydration and deal with the oil but only when I know I'm staying home. Otherwise it just wipes off on everything.

I learned a while back that Revlon Color Stay (the one with the black top) is one of the best, economical foundations. It doesn't feel heavy and it does not clog pores, nor dry your face. Another economy find is the Maybelline concealer. It comes in a pen/tube in red...called Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfector. It has a concealer on one end that actually conceals and a highlighter on the other to brighten up your eyes, etc... I use ANEW from Avon...they all work great. One investment though is the Dandellion dust from Benefit. It makes everyone look pretty...period. Add your mascara and lip gloss and you be just gorgeous!

I am starting to get droppy eyes and recently when I wear eyeliner it tends to end up above my eye crease, is there an eyeliner that would stay on and not smear like that?

Can you give info on AVON products? They have so many products for aging, cleansing, etc - and makeup. Do you have and information on how their products compare to the ones found at the drugstore and if they are worth the money?

OK so shorthairshai says that professional stylist would never recommend any of these items, why are they in these articles? I color my own hair, it is sh ort, I keep it cut short, cut every four weeks or so so I can't afford to pay for color that often, and I use pantene for high lighted hair and my hair is so soft and shiny! I love it! Now if I could just find some good make up that I liked, I like the mineral stuff, but I just can't find the right kind to match my coloring, I have a lot of blue undertones, any suggestions? I have green eyes, and I keep my hair pretty light blond all year long.

As a professional hairstylist it never ceases to amaze me to see stylist quoted in magazines hawking products from the drugstore that I know they would never in a million years tell their clients in their salons to use. In fact if their salon clients came in and told them they used Pantene they would be told it was the worst thing they could possibly be doing to their hair....I've been in this business 20 years and NEVER seen a professional stylist who didnt work for a otc company recommend their products outside a magazine.
